We are pleased to announce that, in accordance with the decision of the Minister of Climate, the Jagiellonian Center of Innovation has been authorized to establish a Department of Genetic Engineering in which the contained use of genetically modified micro-organisms (GMMs) classified as class II will be carried out.

The creation of such a structure enables conducting clinical trials that imply administration of the investigational medicinal product having the status of GMMs classified in hazard class I or II. The team of the Clinical Research Center has experience in preparing applications for the contained use of GMMs, and the developed procedures ensure the optimization of GMM storage processes at the Jagiellonian Innovation Center in accordance with applicable regulations.
